CAROLERS GREET BISHOP PETER WITH THE FEAST OF NATIVITY
On Sunday, January 8th, following the Divine Liturgy, members of the Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral choir greeted Bishop Peter at his residence with traditional Russian and Ukrainian Christmas carols. Singing the first song on the steps of his residence, they were quickly welcomed in and sang several other numbers concluding with the troparion of the feast and His Grace invited all to stay for refreshments. Shortly thereafter, a group of carolers from the Serbian Holy Resurrection Cathedral arrived and all were delighted by a second concert of traditional Serbian Christmas carols again concluded jointly by both choirs singing the troparion in the Serbian melody. What a pleasure to see the joy of the feast expressed from multiple Orthodox traditions on one day!
